About me
Hello! My name is Katja Monnerjan, and I have been a passionate graphic designer for over 30 years.
I graduated with honors in 1992 from Art Center College of Design (Europe) in Switzerland, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
My professional journey began in Munich, where I worked as a Junior Art Director at the advertising agency Graffiti until 1994. I then relocated to Barcelona, Spain, to join the internationally renowned photo agency age fotostock. There, I led the graphic design department, developing the company’s new corporate identity and producing all in-house advertising, communication materials, catalogs, and websites.
From 1998 to 2005, I took a career break for family reasons. Following that, I contributed to various graphic design projects and advertising campaigns at schnellervorlauf in Ingolstadt and magenta4 in Eichstätt.
In 2012, I moved to Turin, Italy, where I worked in print media for the PTA at the International School of Turin until 2019.
In 2023, I embraced a new opportunity in Zell am See, Austria. I joined a digital printing company in Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer as a Senior Graphic Designer, where remained until May 2025.
Throughout my career, I have consistently taken on freelance projects for small clients, offering flexible, tailored design solutions. I also dedicate time to personal creative work.
My design style is defined by clarity, visual tension, and minimalism. I prefer direct visual communication without unnecessary ornamentation. I enjoy experimentation but also have a deep appreciation for classic principles of communication and information design. My approach is flexible, collaborative, and rooted in a love for nature and active living. I speak German, English, Italian and Spanish. I work in Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.

My main areas of expertise are:
- Logo development and the design of company presentations and concepts
- Layout and final artwork for flyers, booklets and brochures, posters, magazines, advertisements and book titles
